Raising a child, let alone one with a disability is extremely difficult in present day Russia. Remedial Class focuses on a class of disabled Russian high school students who are neglected and bullied by teachers and peers alike. The provincial town is wrought by social problems and the children have ongoing conflicts. However everything is shaken up with the arrival of a newcomer. The children strive to integrate into the mainstream and achieve their dreams. But the problems of growing up present significant challenges. This curious drama will reveal a side to Russian life that few could even imagine.
