"Go, go kill without mercy. .... There is no talk of mercy to Poland. The only way is to assault Poland at first opportunity." These were Hitler's words on the 23rd of May 1939 when he spoke about the invasion of Poland which was to be known only as, Fall Weiss.
Fall Weiss was to begin on the 1st of September 1939; however, the head of fascist Germany needed a formal excuse in order to launch an attack on the European nation. An assault was feigned onto a small German radio station in Gleiwits, not far from the Polish border. This documentary looks at how the provocation was arranged and executed, culminating in the official start of World War II.
